The Accounting Intern will support North America accounting operations, Record-to-Report workflows, month-end close activities, financial reporting, SAP-related tasks, reconciliations, and ad hoc financial analysis.
Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day North America accounting operations and Record‑to‑Report process activities
Assist with data validation, reconciliation workpapers and supporting documentation for financial reporting
Help maintain records in compliance with corporate accounting standards and internal control requirements
Collaborate with internal finance stakeholders and outsourced service providers on assigned deliverables
Participate in month‑end close activities including data aggregation, report preparation and task follow‑up
Execute ERP‑related tasks within SAP S/4HANA / SAP ECC, including data lookup and document filing
Build Excel spreadsheets, compile meeting materials and complete ad‑hoc financial analysis as assigned by team leadership
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business program at a Canadian university; with an expected graduation in 2027 / 2028
Solid academic foundation in core accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Effective English communication skills; comfortable collaborating within cross‑cultural, multi‑time‑zone global teams
Proactive learning mindset, strong teamwork skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks during peak financial close periods
Legally authorized to work full‑time in Canada for the entire internship period
Preferred
hands‑on exposure to SAP or other ERP systems is an asset
Exceptional attention to detail, strong data aptitude and well‑organized work habits
One-on-one mentorship from experienced North America accounting specialists
Practical business experience covering Report to-Report, month-end close and multinational accounting operations
