National Bank of Canada is offering an internship in accounting and internal audit which allows you to contribute directly to financial discipline and process improvement. The role involves optimizing analysis environments, performing financial analyses, and participating in internal audit mandates.
Responsibilities
Optimize analysis environments (SQL, SAP, Excel) by improving tools and developing dashboards
Perform financial and operational analyses to support various business lines and simplify disclosure and management reporting
Support the production of calculations related to hedge accounting, quarterly and annual reports
Participate in internal audit mandates to evaluate processes
Communicate findings and contribute to the formulation of recommendations
Contribute to financial audit and internal control work, including support to the external auditors in the audit of the Bank's financial statements
Qualification
Required
Be an undergraduate or graduate student in a field related to accounting or auditing
Be proficient in Excel and demonstrate an interest in financial data analysis
Have an understanding of financial and accounting concepts
Have an interest in the CPA pathway
Have good analytical and synthesis skills, and demonstrate initiative and rigor
