The 10-week Summer Internship Program is designed to provide an introduction to the alternative investment industry, offering interns real-world experience while complementing their studies.
Responsibilities
Performing thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis of existing and potential investments in hedge fund managers across various strategies and regions
Tracking, analyzing, and interpreting trends in specific strategies and related capital markets
Assessing new investment strategies and monitoring current conditions within existing strategies utilized by the firm
Preparing internal and external market and investment commentary on a monthly basis
Communicating hedge fund manager and strategy-related issues to the Investments department and the Investment Committee
Participating in due diligence of potential new investments with hedge fund managers
Attending department and strategy review meetings
Completing a summer project related to the industry to present to the Investments department
Qualification
Required
Junior pursuing a BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Superior academic performance
Strong interest and knowledge of the investment industry
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility
Excellent work ethic
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Flexible schedule allowing for late nights and weekends depending on workload
