Diversified Energy Company is an oil and gas company seeking a Summer Intern in M&A Finance. The intern will support the M&A team by evaluating opportunities, building financial models, conducting sensitivity analyses, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and preparing presentations for C-suite executives.
Responsibilities
Support the M&A team in evaluating opportunities across the oil and gas sector
Build and maintain detailed financial models incorporating key financial concepts including discounted cash flow analyses, project economics, and accretion/dilution impacts
Perform ad hoc sensitivity analyses to assess key value drivers and risk factors
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine key model inputs and assumptions
Must be currently enrolled as a rising junior or rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field at an accredited college/university at the time of the internship
Passion for the oil & gas industry and a strong desire to learn how financial analysis informs strategic decision‑making
Self-starter with a passion for learning and a strong work ethic
Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
