Diversified Energy Company is a US-based company focused on the oil and gas sector, seeking a Summer Intern for their Mergers & Acquisitions team. The intern will support the M&A team in evaluating opportunities, building financial models, and preparing presentation materials for executives.
Responsibilities
Support the M&A team in evaluating opportunities across the oil and gas sector
Build and maintain detailed financial models incorporating key financial concepts including discounted cash flow analyses, project economics, and accretion/dilution impacts
Perform ad hoc sensitivity analyses to assess key value drivers and risk factors
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine key model inputs and assumptions
Must be currently enrolled as a rising junior or rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field at an accredited college/university at the time of the internship
Passion for the oil & gas industry and a strong desire to learn how financial analysis informs strategic decision‑making
Self-starter with a passion for learning and a strong work ethic
Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
